VinFast will officially launch ViVi, its in-car virtual assistant, on electric vehicle models in the Philippine market starting Q3 2025.
Developed by VinBigdata — a member of Vingroup and a leading AI technology company in Vietnam — ViVi is a voice-controlled assistant that allows users to perform a wide range of tasks hands-free and without requiring an internet connection. These include navigation, calling, messaging, music playback, news updates, and control of air conditioning or windows. ViVi is designed to enhance both personalization and driving safety.
In the Philippines, ViVi will be deployed via software updates at dealerships, free of charge and without any hardware modifications. According to Mr. Radcliffe Santiago, Head of Training and Sales at VinFast Philippines, the feature will be available on most VinFast models, except for the VF 3.
Initially launched in Vietnam in 2021 with the VF e34, ViVi is now integrated across VinFast’s full domestic EV lineup, including the VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. Its latest version, ViVi 2.0, powered by Generative AI, has been piloted with over 1,000 early users and received highly positive feedback. Beyond core features, ViVi 2.0 can offer travel suggestions, cooking tips, and even engage in fun conversations about horoscopes — making it a smart, conversational companion on every journey.
VinBigdata, the company behind ViVi, is a pioneer in artificial intelligence in Vietnam. Driven by its mission “Vietnamese Technology for a Vietnamese Future,” VinBigdata has introduced a suite of GenAI products such as ViGPT, ViChat, and ViVoice, along with facial and image recognition platforms like Vizone Secure and Vizone Lens, serving sectors ranging from finance and healthcare to education, tourism, and retail.
The expansion of ViVi to global markets is not only a testament to Vietnam’s growing technological capabilities but also underscores VinFast’s long-term vision of embedding local technological value into globally competitive products.
